Eric earned his master's in marital and family therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2012, then began his career in addiction treatment as a primary therapist at a residential chemical dependency center in Southern California.
He went on to train at the Novus Mindful Life Institute under Duane Osterlind, LMFT, CSAT-S, and William Feuerborn, LMFT, CSAT-S, and completed his certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), founded by Dr. Patrick Carnes. After becoming licensed in 2015, he opened a private practice and joined Banyan Therapy Group as intensives director — building and running their intensive outpatient program and co-authoring the recovery workbook Rebuilding Your Foundation with Dan Drake, LMFT, CSAT-S.
Today Eric facilitates four ongoing weekly men's process groups, helping men build strength, resilience, and community around an issue that has driven so many into shame and isolation.
